Walleye are considered strong fighters and they stay deep and wage a battle when caught. They are sensitive to light, because of this they bite most often around dawn and dusk, at night or in cloudy weather. For bait most fisherman use lures and live bait including minnows, leeches, worms, jigs, plugs and spinners.
Walleye are found in large, windswept lakes with low to moderate clarity. They can be found in smaller lakes, rivers and reservoirs that have a moderate current with clean, hard bottoms and water temperature between 65-75 degrees.
